Dry Flies for Salmon - Lohipinturit

You really only need two flies for salmon fishing with dries. Like for many experienced salmon fisher's my two trustees are the Bomber and Klinkhåmer. In fact I would get by with only the Bomber most of the time and it does get the most playing time. But every now and then it's good to try something different and sometimes it even pays off. Changing the fly does refresh the fisherman at least. In this article I introduce you two safe bets and two modifications of old reliables.

Lohen pintaperhokalastuksessa pärjää mainiosti kahdella perholla. Minun kaksi luottopeliä on monen muun kokeneen lohen pintaperhokalastajan tavoin Bomber ja Klinkhåmer. Itse asiassa pärjäisin melkein pelkästään Bomberilla ja se saakin selvästi eniten peliaikaa.  Joskus on silti mukava kokeilla jotain muuta ja aika ajoin se tuottaa jopa tulosta. Perhon vaihto virkistää ainakin kalamiestä. Tässä artikkelissa esittelen kaksi perus varmaa pinturia ja kaksi muunnosta vanhoista ottipeleistä.

Klinkhåmer is favoured by many salmon anglers and for a reason. There are times when this type of low floating dry works better than the high floating ones.

Klinkhåmer on monen lohimiehen suosiossa, eikä syyttä. On aikoja jolloin tämäntyyppinen matalalla kelluva perho toimii paremmin kuin korkeammalla kelluvat.

The Bomber in Royal colors. There are lot of these type of color modifications from the Bomber and I doubt that there's any big difference how they fish. But a fly that looks good for the angler will get more playing time. I just need to find deer hair dyed the color of peacock.

Bomber Royal Wulffin väreissä. Tämäntyyppisiä muunnoksia Bomberista näkee paljon ja kalastavuudessa tuskin on isoa eroa. Kalastajalle sillä kumminkin saattaa olla väliä. Perho joka näyttää omaan silmään hyvältä, saa varmasti enemmän peliaikaa. Vielä kun löytäisi jostain riikinkukon väristä peurankarvaa.

This is a modifacation of the famous Waller Waker by Lani Waller. Like the name suggest it's a waking fly. In this model I've replaced the deer hair with foam.

Tämä on muunnos kuuluisasta Lani Wallerin Waller Wakerista. Nimensä mukaisesti se on pääasiassa viistätys perho. Tässä mallissa olen korvannut peurankarvan foamilla.

Sometimes everything works out. This fish only took 42 casts.
